GM trying to drop "Chevy" nickname

Dropping 'Chevy' for 'Chevrolet'
This is obsurd! There has always been a Chevy, and it always will be called a Chevy! I've been blessed enough to walk this planet for 50 years and seen some of the most wonderful/affordable to the working man cars under this brand, and I'll be damned if some bureaucratic momma's boys are going to change the way I reference one of the best cars to grace this country. You'd think the lil' ****bags would focus on something more relavent to the preservation of the company, rather than try to sway the public and employees into something meaningless! Like make a car for the general public again, and not a $40k SUV, or a damn $20K HHR, our economy can't sustain those types of vehicles anymore. Focus on quality at a lower cost, God knows they've beat the hell out of their suppliers on cost, only to reap the benefits of imported junk from 3rd world economies.
LONG LIVE THE CHEVY!!

Hey Ogre (newbie) here ... Ya Know maybe its my age or maybe its a clear need for more meds...but here lately I've become a bit rebellious ...so heres my thoughts on the matter for what they are worth ...as Americans it seems we've forgotten two things ...One our individual rights and responsabilities ...and two ...we hold the power ...look were consumers , without us they are nothing. "They" can decide whatever they like ..."WE" have the ability to say "screw you" its a Chevy if we hold true to our roots and passions they will eventually follow suit and give in ...anybody remember the "new" coke ???

I was just watching the NASCAR race on sunday. Funny thing is that the pace car was a chevy and had "Chevy" logos on it. If they want to get rid of the name, they aren't doing it in a public place.....like TV.
