Nope.Chrysler did not build the panel cruiser

because the cost of a completely different car from the cowl back was too high for the small market it would appeal to. Chevy got it right, because they actually built a panel version

i'm kind of surprised people like it that way, it really does nothing for me.

It's different, it's a two door, and just plain sweet
I would guess that if you fit in yours now, there wouldn't be any problem too

since the roof on it looks chopped seems like a good amount of headroom would be lost

True, but if your going thru all the work to make it like that it wouldn't be hard to redo the seats to sit lower to make more headroom.
