This has been a really bad day....

Yeah, THIS. ^
Hope it turns out OK, and this was just a brush with death. It happens to everyone soomer or later, but it's sometimes easier to deal with after a near miss or two. It was for me when I lost my Gramma in March. She was 93, and had been "bouncing off the wall" (for a NASCAR metafor) for a while, and pit stops were no longer helping much. It finally got to where it was a relief, but I hope this is one of the early brushes of the wall. If you watched Darlington over the weekend, you know that many people can continue on quite well in spite of the damage. Maybe your Dad can even use that metafor as some motivation. Hoping for the best.

Well I had planned on going to see my folks next weekend, but things changed rapidly in the pre-dawn hours today.
I'm pecking this from outside my Dad's ICU room in Charleston on a smartphone, he's had heart attack #4 and things are looking pretty iffy at the moment.
The doctors tell us the the next 24 hours are critical, and in order to better manage his care, they have induced a coma.
I'll check in with y'all when I can over the next couple of days, but you won't see too much of me for a bit.
Dad's a fighter, but we just don't know how many battles are still winnable.
Sorry to bring a down note into everyone's holiday, take care everyone.

Good morning all,
Well they did the stent procedure on Dad this morning and all three were placed successfully, so we're over that hurdle. Next up is a gradual backing off of his sedation throughout the afternoon so he wakes up and they can then check his cognitive abilities, etc.
The duty nurse has called for a taxi to come pick up the "Zombies" and take us to the hotel for a couple hours of sleep and some food. We're all about ready to drop right now, but this shall pass.
That's it for now, I'll pop on later today with another update, thanks again for your thought and prayers everyone....you are the best!
