Im 42, Wife is 52. We both young at heart and like the old hot rod look anyway, even when we was 20. I think its a style and nostalgia thing. Havent seen too many older here with them usually 30 somethings.

We got our first one we were 46. Now we are 50 on our second one. Hey..........not our fault they didnt make em when we were younger.

I'm 22 and passed on mulitple sorts of vehicles when I bought this. I have had normal cars, camaros, firebirds, truck, etc. I was tired of hotrodding and just wanted a car that would get me to work and school quietly. Put it this way, I had enough $ to buy a corvette and still bought an HHR. I just like having 4 doors.

Even when I was 18 I could never get myself to have a 2 door car the practicality of it was never there. Insurance is higher you can't fit your friends in it and what can you haul in a coupe?

I'm 28. Mostly use it as my DD but ocassionally it gets used as the family truckster! My wife and I met while cruising Burger King...I had a SHO and she had a turbo, AWD Talon. She traded a SHO to get that. We've pretty much always had 4 door cars as they are so much more practical. Got a good deal on the LT from a family member, otherwise I'd be rollin a SS

Most of the peeps that I see around here in HHR's are easily into their "mid-life crisis" stage of life. Interesting how it can appeal to such different age groups.

I was 50 when we got our first HHR in May 2006. The wife and I had been searching car lots since they came out but could not find one with a manual. At the time the wife's daily driver was a 2001 Corvette Coupe and I had a 2003 Vibe GT 6 Speed. If I'm going to drive a smaller car let me have some fun driving and shifting. All the dealers we talked to said they would not get any HHR's in with manuals! We finally found a 2006 Spring Edition in a 5 Speed and the Vibe was history. Move ahead to the fall of 2007 when the SS came out I went and test drove one and of course it was a automatic. I did not like how every time it shifted it would drop out of boost! It would be great if it was a 6 Speed Auto! Again all the dealers said they would not get a manual in. Fast forward to the summer of 2008 and the wife wanted to semi-retire the Vette to weekends and Corvette Club activies. So she said she would take the 2006 HHR as her daily driver and since I kept talking about the HHR SS she said I should order one. I was at Marathon Chevy in Summerville, SC in no time and used their first allocation of the 2009 model year to order a SS 5 Speed with Brembo's, LSD, etc. So to make a long story short we are both over 50 and love shifting manual transmissions.

I am 31 and bought the HHR last august, primarily for work. I needed the cargo room, so i wanted a panel. However, i needed the seats and thought my kid would want a window as well LOL. During the week its a delivery vehicle, driving 425 or so kilometers a day. Weekends, its the family wagon. I needed something more fuel efficient than my 95 ford windstar and something larger than a pt cruiser, and the hhr fit the bill. I love the fact that I save between $15-20 a day on fuel compared to the windstar i was driving before, and the HHR has great looks and turns alot of heads.

Im almost 20 and bought my SS when I turned 18. A girl I met has a base model and is a year younger than I. Both of us LOVE the HHR. I get alot of compliments on it from all ages. Especially when I get on it a little bit or have it shining bright.
