I've been off all week--mainly to study and do all the cooking. Don't usually shop on this day. Cleaned the car (pesky rains this week) in case I meet up with the SoCal crew for a part of the Turkey-day-cruise Saturday. And just more writing. Nice day out.

Went to the Beach (we live there) with my wife--did a 6 mile walk along the shore during low tide.. (Oceanside/Carlsbad, CA)... Temp 68*, clear, 2-4 ft surf, water 64*.. Quite a few "out of towners" taking a dip...

Then picked up my Daughter's 97 Ford (yes, Ford), Taurus 'cause she gave me the "Daddy" call: "car's actin' weird" (she's 25 & I know what to expect whenever I get a "Daddy' call!! )

Well--her rear brakes are metal to metal. Took her car, gonna fix it, wash it, and give her a lesson on proper maintenance...

Now it's 4 PM & takin' the wife Christmas Shopping...

That's it so far....

I woke up and it was Mr. B that went out to get a present. He bought an item on special for our sons birthday in February. So I got to sleep in.

Worked on several vehicles for friends and relatives. Mostly oil changes, various filters and such.

Removed the ORIGINAL AIR Filter from a 1998 Chev. Cav......it was absolutely clean with 31,000 miles (little old lady). But the rubber/latex that surrounds the filtering material was dried out and broken allowing the filter to just drop into the air box. Absolutely amazing. This lady gets her oil changed (I did it a few times) once a year, whether she needs it or not.

My vehicles are due in about 2 weeks.

I didn't get out too early. I left around 7:30 and our mall was packed. That was quite a surprise! Later, I went to Circuit City to get a new internet router. I laughed when they asked if I was interested in an extended warranty. I also put up the Christmas lights, an annual tradition. Fortunately, it was in the high 60's today and the rain took a break. Nothing like spending a winter holiday outside in shirt sleeves.
