How much....
How much is the median house price in your area? I was just recently reading our city's newspaper, and I found an article about the median house pricing. In my city, Santa Clarita California, the median house price is exactly $600,000. That wont get you much home in Santa Clarita. Our city is a good size city, 170,000 people. A 3,000 square foot house will run 1.2 million. My area is becoming upscale, and expensive. Its amazing how much its grown. In about 16 years, it has gone from farmland to upscale city. So how much is your area's housing?

It varies so much around here it's hard to average a price. We have crack house ridden ghetto to very upscale neighborhoods. If you don't mind living in the ghetto you can buy a house in the $10,000 range. Or if you want a multimillion dollar home we have those also. So I guess the answer to your question would be $10,000 - multimillion. My cities population is a little larger at around 212,500 so maybe that acounts for some of the variation. My house is over 3000 square feet and it is worth just over $130,000. My house is worth a little more than the other houses around me which are averaging in the $100,000 - $120,000 range but mine is larger than the rest plus sits on a larger lot and has things like a pool, two level deck, a garden pond, in-law appt. and stuff. My house is in a pretty nice suburban area.

Perry Hall has nearly trippled it's housing inventory in the past 6 years. A newer townhouse will cost you anywhere between $300,000 and $450,000. A Single Family with 4 beds and 2.5 baths, two-story foyer, and a two-car garage will be around $550,000 to $625,000. I was bored so here are a couple active listings I pulled off the MRIS:
$314,900 (2 beds, 2 baths)
$399,900 (3 beds, 2 full and 2 half baths)
$610,000 (5 beds, 3.5 baths)
$724,000 (4 beds, 3 baths)
Anyone feel like moving to Perry Hall?
