That is so weird! My house is larger and on a larger lot but it cost like 1/5 the price.

central oklahoma, 1994. 3 acres, a pond, 1800sf house, 2 car attached, 3 car carport and a 450sf detail shop on the edge of town $93,000.00 now $200.000 plus. nice and quiet in rural america. price is always location location.

Hell, A house out here was just built for a cool Mil2. That's just the house! The ground was 700 large! THis is the same dude who has a garage full of classic Corvettes.

I guess my location sucks but I love it! I guess housing in Cali is more expensive because everyone wants to live where it's nice year round. I want to live and die in here in NY.

i lived in cal most of my life . just had to escape, most people were cool but alot were @$$holes. to much state regulations, miss the car scene. NY is cool too. i'll go back someday.

However, within a 5 mile radius, same size house can vary +/- $50K depending on neighborhood, city, and school district.

I live in a 800 square ft house that is appraised at $100k and it has gone up $30k since I moved in 3 years ago.The landlord wanted us to but it but we didnt think we would be here this long.Its really not the best neighborhood and the white guy is the minority but its near downtown so I guess they wanna clean it up.
