How much sleep do you get?
Just wondered who all was a night owl like me? I'm used to working 3rd shift hours so I dont always get a good full 8 hours of sleep. Usually about 4-6 and I'm good to go!

I keep a weird schedule and deal with chronic pain from a broken back, so you'll see me here most nights until 3am or so. Since I keep an office hear at home and am guilty of cruising the forum at my Charlotte office, I'll pop up almost anytime. Oh, to answer your question on sleep, 4 hours a night with a nice nap mid afternoon if I can.

Work injury about 6 years ago has turned my sleep pattern WAY WAY Outta Whack here.
Even before the injury I always was a late nighter, even getting up at 5AM or earlier to be on the jobsite at 6AM, I would be up later than most.
Nowadays I sleep whenever I feel the Need. I actually Avoid it, because I know once asleep I will put my arm under my pillow under my head like I have Always done (side sleeper) and that cuts the blood flow off to my hand since they had to tie off a main artery to my hand. Any pressure on my forearm cuts the rest of the supply off and my arm/hand and it goes Numb and then will wake me up, then as the blood flow starts back up into my hand, the throbbing and pain starts up, so now I'm ticked off at that, get up take a couple pills and wait for them to take effect. By that time I am Awake and too aggrevated to lay back down.
I sleep on the couch now since my tossing and turning while I am asleep kept waking up the wife, I'll semi wake up and turn on my other side I guess (so the wife tells me) to relieve my arm but then a few minutes later I am back on my normal side and the cycle goes like that all night so since she gets up with the kids in the mornings I just moved myself to the couch, no since making Both of us Miserable all night long.
So I don't sleep all at once I find now, I seem to take Power Naps, for an hour or 2, maybe once in awhile I'll get in 4 hours at once, but not much more.
Once my injured arm/hand starts throbbing and hurting and I am up dealing with that. Take some pain meds and watch an old movie on TCM or watch a DVD for one of my hobby interests until the arm pain starts to subside.
So I can be found here at ALL hours day or night.
