Did anyone else catch tonight's Dateline special? Out of the grocery stores inspected and analyzed, Food Lion did the best, and Safeway did the worst. What surprised me though, was that Wal-Mart was second best. Here is the link with all the details and numbers:

Unfortunately, this doesn't help much since many areas have very popular "small chain" grocery stores that weren't inspected.

I miss going to Piggly Wiggly while visiting my grandparents in TN :)

 

Still have Piggly Wiggly, in these areas, North Ga, and TN., HA!! Caught part of that show. Coming from Florida, and now taking over Ga. is Publix, a top notch grocery change, never any problems with store cleanliness!!!

 

We usually go to Pavillions, how did that rank?

 

Pavillions was not rated. The list includes Safeway, Albertsons, Publix, Kroger, Winn-Dixie, Sam's Club, Costco, Wal-Mart, Save-A-Lot, and Food Lion (in order of "worst" to "best").

 

There is always reports like that on the news. You cant always belive what you see on TV. However if you witness it first hand then there is a problem.
