Not a Good day

Well
I had a USN Reserve working with me today and I was informed that he will be working with me for 2 weeks, Cool I then find out that he is a Chicago Police Officer.

We were enjoying our day working together until he received that one call on his cell.

The person who call were the Police who stated that Persons unknown were shooting at his House. So I guess you can say that our 1st day was cut short, Thank God No one was hurt and no one was home. Can't wait for tomorrow.

oh my goodness, what a call to get!

Mine was ok considering that my sinuses are killing me, my 2-year-old decided that I needed to get up for the day at 3:30 am, and work wasn't busy enough to keep me entertained making for a really long day. I'm ready for bed, but haven't even had a chance to speak to my husband yet (he worked 15 hours and is now putting the kids to bed) or I'd be sound asleep by now.

My day was actually pretty good! Got payroll done for the salemen (they get paid once a month-today was it!) Went to my in-laws for pizza to celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary (husband had a work related computer meeting tonight so it was just his sister and me with their parents). And now I am doing my favorite thing to do in the evenings, and that is check up on what all my HHR family has been up too!

And thank you for asking!

Not too bad of a day here in Denver. Had a follow-up interview for a job I applied for today. Job sounds great, but pay sucks...so back to the drawing board. Anyone have any ideas on a job I can do from home so I can keep the miles down on my HHR?

Holmes, I hope you're NOT reading this and are asleep, my friend.

Tuesday is our slowest day of the week at our open seven days a week store. SO I am thinking of having "20% off Tuesdays, with two roaming discounts of 20% on Tuesdays. That is Next Tuesday 20% off all supplies and RPGs ( Not Rocket Propelled Grenades, but Role Play ing Games ! ). The Tuesday after have 20% off all statues and comic book back issues. Etc Something different for each Tuesday. Came up with it while driving. Seems like a decent idea.

One day while driving I thought of a new button ( We make buttons ). "New London Blows" it says and has a whale blowing its spout! It sells well It captures a bit of the historic with a bit of the counter culture attitude. Works for me and a lot of folks in the area
Oh back to today, got Katy off to first grade early. She made the bus on time today. Hooray!

I just got home from work at 10 PM and she is asleep. I miss her....... My wife and Katy both went on a Girl Scout Brownie adventure this evening. I'll learn tomorrow how it all went. They be sleeping. I be hangin' in the forum unwinding....
