How's your heart?

For 28 years I got out of bed early, worked 24 hour shifts, fought fires, saved lives, cleaned up Haz Mats, worked side jobs. Then BANG! 2000, a heart attack. Out for 3 months. Got back into the swing of things. 2004, BANG BANG! Big heart attck, minor stroke. 5 months just to feel human again. Forced by the fire chief to retire on permanent disability. No more reasons to get up early and knock myself out. Easy days ahead. Wife complains I sleep too late in the morning. Well, well, well......after all of that, I found this on Yahoo his morning:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070906...althjapansleep

Heed the warning my friends. Sleep in every day.

Maybe I need to go back to nights, then I can sleep as late as I want.
Good find!

I wonder if I can use that as justification for being late to work?

I had a stroke almost 9 years ago and it was the best thing that could happen to me. I had a home repair business that was working me to the bone. Then in Dec 98 I had a stroke which left me without my right side but through working out I've managed to get back my speech, right leg,and right arm. I'm still on SS/D but it taught me not to work so much. Now I take it easy the way that you should. I also lost a kidney to cancer 2 years ago,no dialisis, radiation or chemotherapy. I'm 56 now and I just enjoy life.

Well, I would take the Japanese's word for it... They have the longest life expectancy out of any culture. They probably know what's healthy

I wish I could use this to not get up at 6:00AM every morning, but alas, I have to keep my job

I just checked my blood pressure but I don't know if it's good. Is 151 over 96 okay, high, or borderline problem?

I haven't had my BP checked in a while, but last time it was exactly 120/80... The only way I remember that is because that is something like the exact number doctors use to describe normal...

Are you stressed? If not make a Doctors appointment, and tell him what your pressure is.
151 most normal is around 120.
96 most normal is below 70 or around that +/- 10.
A little high?

Track it for a few days and then you'll have a better idea what your base line is.
