I really enjoy my HHR (no buying regrets or problems here!) and while it does offer a fair amount of room for hauling stuff, it still isn't an SUV in size nor performance (especially when comparing performance to a Trailblazer SS). While I have enjoyed occassional 30 mpg+ runs, these were based solely on the trip computer's calculations and they were always highway runs under ideal circumstances (no traffic, constant speed). A more realistic expectation is around 24 mpg in city/highway mixed driving with the 2.4 (about 40% city/60% highway).

The HHR is the only car that I have owned in my 51 years of life that I actually get excited about driving EVERY time I get in it !
