YIKES! It was easy to tell she was very nervous. Pretty tough question for the situation, and I'm sure she was caught off guard. I won't say she is stupid, I don't believe she is, she was just very nervous. Watching it all I could think of is the poor girl is showing she is a product of our failing public school system.

I'll agree she was nervous. But the question was far from tough.

A fifth of Americans can not locate America on a map? That is such a dramatic statement on education, but not just in the US, I'll add. I work in the education sector and we have seen a decline in academic performance over the years, particularly in math and science. Just scary to me the poor quaility education we seem to be giving our future leaders.

she was asked why she thinks 1 of 5 americans can not find the us on a world map and she replied with something about the education in africa and (china?) and that we should help them and well I'm not really sure what she even made sense by itself.
