I Think I Sold an HHR Today

My car was parked right outside our office and some visitors from DC were asking a coworker about it. He told me and I caught up with them to explain what a great car the HHR is. The guy said he had his eye on a black one with tan interior. By the end of our conversation he was sold.

I referred him to this site to read all of your opinions, also. I also wanted him to see the mods many of you have done.

I stopped by a local Chevy dealer to pick up some brochures on the HHR...none in stock. I'm trying to piece together another HHR (my cousin wants to buy mine for his daughter). Going to www.chevy.com listed the options, but it wouldn't print out the lists, only the final built car.

I'm trying to put together an LT1, but with some special options such as auto dimming mirrors (seems to be only available on the LT2) and another 6 CD changer (not available for 09) and the 2.4L engine with auto and cloth interior. The 09s can run E85 as well as gas.

I'm really not a fan of traction control and ABS brakes (all options and not on my 06 HHR), but now standard equipment on the LT1.

The cars they had on the lot were many dark colored (not a good option for sunny Florida) and the salesman wasn't that knowledgable about the car (typical).

I may have to try some sort of special order if I can put it together.

Old Lar,don't worry about getting an auto dimming inside mirror. With the deep tint glass it's not needed anyway. My 2LT has it and I constantly wonder "why?".

see i love the auto dimming mirror. even with the tinted glass in the back i can see when it dims. So useful when on the expressway and some truck behind me as super bright lights.
