Old viral email. Still true, though.

I think the thing that people miss is that even when driving without the cruise control turned on, you still shouldn't be driving that fast for icy or wet conditions. 70 MPH on wet or icy pavement does not give you enough time to react, even with the cruise turned off.

It's been a while since I drove one, but the blurb about the Sienna isn't true. The Limited XLE has the adaptive cruise system that goes blind when it gets covered by road debris and it won't activate. You can still bypass it and use normal cruise mode instead.

And the new Mercedes "corrects" driver error if they're not paying attention and wakes them up of they start to doze. Can you imagine what the indirect implications of this are? It makes the irresponsible (or ignorant) use of cruise control miniscule. Technology is not always advancement.

People dont know not use cruise in the rain/snow?? I new this from when I was sixteen, cant remember if it was MI drivers training or my dad who informed me. (sure my dad brought it up) However I would think drivers training would cover this and also it is/should be parents responsibility most of all to teach their kids life lessons. I just asked my wife and she knew it was a no no also, so that is good. Don't want a wrecked ss
