I'm back!!
Just wanted to let y'all know I'm still alive. I used to be quite a bit more active on the forums, but I've been MIA for some time now. I've been working 40 hours a week at my one job and then 15-20 hours a week at my second job, so not much free time. I used to work significantly less hours, so that kinda explains my disappearance. I have a new job now. I work with people with developmental disabilities at a non-profit organization. I work in the Transportation Department as a Bus Driver. I transport our clients home every day at 3:00. I tell people I'm basically like a school bus driver except I don't drive a school bus. I have a rural route, so I drive out in the middle of nowhere where there's no cell phone service and where they don't plow or salt the roads. I drive about 3 hrs and approximately 100 miles everyday. It is by far my favorite and the most meaningful job I've ever had. Working with people with disabilities really brings a smile to your face. I'm not getting rich or anything but I truly love my job and you can't beat that.
I'm going to try and be more active again on the forums. I do kinda miss this site and being on here like I used to. My HHR is running better than ever and is now at 164,000 miles. It has some new window shades and chrome trim where the fog light plugs are. Hoping to do a few more things when it's not -13 degrees outside. Yep, that's the temperature right now.
This is my bus. It's a Ford, but I wish it was a Chevy. There are certain "Ford" things/characteristics that I cannot get used to. As you can see, they did not ask my opinion when ordering buses. I try to take almost as good of care of it as I do my car. This picture was taken after I just washed it.
