I'm going to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

On my upcoming trip to Florida, I have decided to try out skydiving for the first time. I'm going to a place called Skydive Key West on Sugarloaf Key. I will be jumping tandem with a professional (I hope ), and a photographer. What better place to jump than the Florida Keys? the scenery should be spectacular, IF i can keep my eyes open. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm pretty nervous, but I have always wanted to try this, so here it goes. My reservation is for Sunday, May 25th at 11am. Wish me luck. If anyone has any advise who has done this, I'm all ears.

Tandem, that means two people. That also means, twice as fast, and twice the impact! Just kidding. Good luck with that. I did it a few years back, and puked my guts up after I hit the ground. The instructor called "Adrenalin Overload".

I've done it and it's an absolute blast! The initial jump is the scariest part- although I did a static line solo jump, not a tandem. My advice is to stay in the moment and try to enjoy every second. You may never do it again!

I've piloted a number of airplanes, none of which I ever considered for one moment jumping out of. Not going to happen.

But good luck to you, and have fun with it. Try not to ***** your pants, lol.

I am an A licensed jumper here. Tandem is cool for first timers as you can relax (as much as you can call it that) during the freefall. Believe me, if you had to worry about body position, altitude awareness and DZ spotting, it would not be as fun.

Not saying solo jumping isn't great, it is, just not as entertaining for first/only timers.
