Cool! I don't think I've ever seen a Corvair station wagon. They obviously must be quite rare. Looks nice!

Thanks for the compliments on my wagon. They only made 2362 in 1962 then discontinued them in favor of the Chevy II wagon. I love Corvairs, there not high priced cars but they draw more attention and are so much fun to drive for half the price of the "Muscle Cars" There are only a handful left today and if you know their real history you discover they were way ahead of their time. There not the fastest cars around but now I have the HHR SS to settle the scores of those who get off on racing by my Corvairs. I have to say that I really enjoy the wagon and the wonderful people I meet when I drive it to shows or the Home Depot. Acutally if you look at it, it could have been a distant realitive of the HHR.

You're very welcome..

The first car I ever drove, was my Uncle Jack's Corvair, (I doubt it was a Monza, just regular one) I was only 13 & we were in an empty parking lot..But something I'll never forget..

I also liked how the automatic shift lever came out of the dash..

but your Monza Wagon is really cool... I've never knew much about the wagons, thanks for the bit of history on them..

A neighbor when I was young had a hot Monza 4 speed, even had dual carbs on it..
Took me for a ride, that was a fast car... I have always liked the Corvairs...

So weren't all of the Corvairs rear engines? Is your wagon also? I see sonething that looks like vent slots along the sides back there...

Yes, there were rear engine. I think they were early HHR prototypes.

They were the only American wagon where you could load up the back like a regular wagon and still have a trunk up front because the motor was in the rear.
