Got some ice here too, but I haven't been out to survey any of the damage. Don't think it is as bad as they were expecting yet but am being told there is more to come tonight. Hope everything is ok with you there in K-State land.

We are fine. Still have power. Just stand in my garage door and watch the neighbors tree limbs break off. The power of Mother Nature is unbelievable.

tcstoy-
that shot of your HHR is crazy! Looks frozen shut. The words remote start come to mind. Hope you left the heater on in the car the night before!

Luckily we got all rain today. Still have a chance from some freezing stuff tonight so we'll see.

Wow, I can remember of few ice storms like that in St Louis. The most notable was Dec 30, 1979. A tree limb loaded with ice landed on the top of the cab of my '78 Toyota pickup. The supports held up but the roof itself was concave. I decided a sunroof was needed.

My sister in Belleville IL was without power for a week. There was looting everywhere. Tell me, who would go out on icy streets in freezing weather to steal from those who have no power? What low lifes!

This will make you smile. We have another tropical storm in the carribean!

Seen that too, laughed at the differences we have in temp. Then again, you don't even have to leave the states for that right now. Seems some people are still setting records for heat

North Central Missouri here, and we got hit also, but not nearly as bad as Kansas. Spent the day at home with the kids today since they were out of school. We still have power, but everything is covered in ice.
