Knight Rider

Did anyone watch the NBC made for T.V. movie Knight Rider. It was one big commercial for Ford. Most of the vehicles were Fords with a couple Mazdas, a Volvo, and a Lincoln. They did have one GM SUV that was debadged that they ended up crashing . Reminded me of the Viper T.V. series where they showcased Chrysler products.

I still don't vision KIT as a Mustang though.

Remember the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die?" Every vehicle in the movie was a Chevy Impala. It was almost comical!

watched it, liked it, will watch it again if I could. Don't care about the car or the voice, just a good show with some good car chases and just fun. Although, I did wish they made kit a HHR SS. That would have been cool

I felt the same way...I missed it the first time it was on, but watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I actually like the Mustang, especially the way it could turn into a 'regular' Mustang to disguise itself. I wouldn't mind if they turn it into a TV series so I can watch some more...

I bet that like the General Lee, there were hundreds of KITTs manufactured for and destroyed in the series, though there were officially only four, presumably these were ones with all the additional instrumentation and paraphernalia that would work for closeups.
Anyone ever notice that some of the General Lee's interior trim changed color occasionally? Never noticed it in Knight Rider. Better continuity, or maybe the choices of trim were more limited in the Firebird/Trans Am

Remember, each car for it's time frame. Didn't they already remake Knight Rider anyway? I thought they did using one of the newer Firebirds? But yeah, a series out of this would be cool, maybe they can put a evil black SS in there. You know, KITT turns into the bad guy and morphs into a SS?
