It had stopped flashing "LOW FUEL" half an hour ago.... That's a good thing, right?

Not lost on me!!

One of the reasons I traded in my HHR a few weeks back....100 mile a day commutes were zapping me in the wallet big time....

How many miles did that 15.638 gallons cover?

LOL You've got it good!!

50.7L (~12.7 gallons) = $70.42

That is $1.389 per litre for super supreme (94 octane)

If my math is right ($53.00/15.63 gal) that's $3.39/gallon. MUCH better than the $3.89 I pay for premium to fill the SS.

I remember buying my HHR on the downswing of the last round of $4 gas. Some friends thought I was crazy and wondered why I was looking at a "little SUV". Most of them bought full size 4 door pickups, Surburbans and Tahoes, since gas was going to be cheap now. These are people who don't haul anything than a kid or 2 and are loners behind the wheel most of the time. I figured that the lower gas prices couldn't last forever and unfortunately I was right. Still luvvin' my HHR though...

Not lost, I just don't dwell on it cause I don't think we have seen the worse yet. Once I pay more than the $4.28 I had to pay back in 2008 when we could even find gas, I'll jot down the new record price I had to pay.
