Smile Lots of police!!!

I am here in Toledo now for the 4th. I must say I observed more police out on the Ohio roads then ever.... almost got nabbed in Cincinnati on 90 and lots on the Ohio turnpike. Glad I got here without a ticket. Have a good 4th everyone and be safe. John

That's Ohio for you John! They're just looking out for your "safety"...has nothing to do with money for them

I read a story yesterday where a national motorists organization rated Ohio second on the list of worse states for getting tickets. Behind NJ.

They are out everywhere this holiday weekend. We ended up in a sobriety check point last night off Page Blvd near Highway 270 in STL.

(we were sober so no problem... and the cop loved Angie's Blue Krush HHR)

It's nice... In Michigan they just cut a bunch of state police, so there aren't as many out!! :-)

But of course the ones left are working overtime!

Guess I should have elaborated more. Every time I have come out in the past (with the exception of Painsville where they are out every trip guaranteed as I can attest as I've gotten two tickets - and NEVER anywhere else) have I ever seen State Police in Ohio - which is why I fly - pedal to the metal. Same for PA. I'm sure its for a good cause.... crack down on aggressive drivers ... but really .... why pick on us nice safe drives whom just drive fast. John

Loved the welcoming commitee at the IND OHIO line....can always count on them being there. Found one stuck in the medium one night cussing out truckers, he was trying to turn around to chase one...of course the truckers let em know how they felt......I know I did...
