I`m boycotting, have been since Sat., and I plan to do so until this Sat..
I take this kind of stuff seriously.
I think I`ll get one of those cars that gets maybe 24-25mpg city, and 29-30 mpg hwy... Oh, I have one already

I bought gas on Sunday and probably won't buy more until next Sunday. Gas is a fungible commodity. Even if everyone bought cars that got 100 MPG, I can guarantee you that our energy expenditures as a percentage of our economy would not change. If every car's getting 100 MPG, gas goes up to $10 a gallon. If we all buy electric cars, utility prices will pick up the slack.

Boycotting gas for a day does nothing
Boycotting gas for a day does nothing. Gas prices are a product of supply and demand. It is no conspiracy. Only if the demand goes down will prices drop. With the refinneries out in New Orleans still and a couple of others near Chicago down for needed maintenance the supply is a bit stiffled. Also with China trying to drink it all up.
It would help if the Democrats would let us drill for some fuel like in Answar (sp? ) but ohh noooo .
