As a former military spouse, I had several periods of forced unemployment. Every time we moved to a new base I had weeks, months, and sometimes years where I couldn't get a job. Once I got in civil service, I never gave it up. I could be making a lot more working for a government contractor but the job security sucks!

The rules on domestic partners covered on insurance are pathetic. If I invite someone, anyone, to share my home and my life, I should be able to share my health insurance with them. We all pay enough for it!

Hope everything works out well for you and Chris!

According to the Kroger big wigs there shouldn't be many changes. Yeah, people hear that all the time. Next week all employees must fill out applications and begin to be interviewed. From there, you just wait to see if they offer you a job. Keeping a positive attitude.
