Toyota is just not getting any love from them anymore:

I worked as a subcontractor for them in one of their facilities. Seemed like a bunch of old hippies with grudges. Gotta wonder where the technical part comes in, because they don't seem to have that tech savvy that you can often spot in someone who has been "around the block".

Like a poor restaurant critic with low credibility, if Consumer Reports says something is bad, it might be worth a look from those who know how to use machines. Judging by this latest report from the hapless milktoasts at Consumer Reports, maybe Toyota is getting better. The Lexus SUV may be a good performer in adverse conditions.

Actually, I posted this not because I thought it would be good view it as the opposite of what they say, but because it only goes to show what I have believed all along, that Toyota is no different than any of the other big auto companies. Ever since Toyota lost their automatic approval, they are actually giving more realistic reviews and tests.

Calling out an SUV that won't bail you out of trouble with an electronic nanny most cars didn't have 5 years ago is ridiculous.

Hey, don't knock CR. Ever see their review of the HHR? It's a top pick!
