yes that would have had a 216 engine. The 235 was a nice upgrade.. I had one in my 53 chevy 210 deluxe..

I've had quite a few of the 48-54 Chevy trucks. The 216 was a good motor but if I remember correctly the bearings were Babbitt, poured, bearings.....I think. Hard to rebuild. (drinking margaritas at the moment

Very true & the 216" rod caps had dippers on them for 'splash lube'..

The 235" had oil pumped thru rods & mains.
