My First Ticket

Yup!!! Recieved my first ticket this morning. I think all of you are a bad influence on me (Siobhan, Chad ). So I was headed to work from Hillsdale to La Salle (65 miles one way) and was following 4 or 5 cars through Blissfield. Just as we were leaving Blissfield all the cars turned their signals on to turn into the Grainery (last thing before you exit Blissfield) except me. Next thing I know I see bubbles . This is at 4:50 in the morning. I recieved a $75 ticket for doing 40 in a 35. I've always been safe doing 5 over everywhere I go with the exception of residential, school, or construction (I never speed in any of these). Guess my luck came to end.

Now you can burn me at the stake!!!

I've been to Blissfield once. Right next to Wedded Bliss. Of course if you keep driving east (takes awhile) you end up in Minefield.

I haven't had mine fast enough for a ticket since last year. I do have a road trip to the doctor's office next week that takes me onto a highway. Perhaps.............................

Were you really going 5 over the limit, or much more and he gave you a break.

Man, that really sounds like a small town cop being alittle tough. I mean hell, the law is the law, BUT.......

I don't write for 5 over unless its in a Playground area or day-care center area.

I feel for you Bro.

I've had two tickets with my Saturn in the past year.

1) $300 and 4 demerit points for going 141 in a 100.

2) $250 and 3 points for going 90 in a 60.

The first ticket I fought down to $60 and no points, and the second one I paid in full.

Keep in mind that those speeds are in km/h and the money is the everloving Canadian dollar.

To give you a general idea of the speeds, 100kph is 60mph, hope that helps.
