I love my 30-30 cal. TC Contender! It is an awesome hunting and target handgun. Super accurate... I can hold a 3" group at 100 yds. easy with a good rest. I have a 22 cal. barrel for it also. It is really cool to be able to interchange barrels so quickly.

Better be right on with that single shot when hunting though! Here is a pic I took from my deer stand this year. Got a doe on opening day, but no monster buck to brag about!

My Dad has every barrel made for the Contender and swears by it. I think he just likes to collect them as I have never seen him shoot it. It is a great concept though.

This is my current "carry" gun (Kimber Ultra Eclipse II in .45 auto), but way to heavy for everyday. I have done some reading on the new Ruger LCP in .380. Has anyone shot one? I have rather large hands and wanted to know how it handles?

Keltec also makes a small .380 that I have looked at.
I have several "carry" guns, but have learned that big is not always better. If you leave it at home because it's too big and heavy it doesn't do you any good. The .380 is the least I would ever consider as a defensive round, but at least I would carry it more often.

Have you shot your friends Ruger (.380)?

D@mn..... now that is sweet! I'd give up my Colt Combat Commander for that, for sure! Oh and a 45 isn't too big or too heavy for concealed carry
...... once ya get use to it...... you'll like one BIG ONE instead of a bunch o little ones.

The USP is about 32oz loaded while the G23 I carried until I got the USP is about 31oz so I am really not worried about it being too heavy. I got a nice comp-tac IWB holster for it.
