Nice, but I am perplexed by your comment about "bad neighborhood" how in the heck is a convertible a better car for that??????

I'm more worried about the daily less extreme problems like all of the door dings from parking in the garage. Street and surface parking is available, but that is where the neighbor hood comes into play. Not the safest place to be walking, there is a shuttle from the garage though.

Major vandalism will happen anyway. I'd still rather have a cut top, than a huge gouge down the side of my HHR or be broken into for the audio stuff. Been through that once already.

I can't imagine that car is going to stay stock for long...

I've always liked Mustangs, 1st car was a '69!

Bonnie and I talked about it for a while and we just couldn't justify spending a few grand on a "beater" when we were planning on me getting a Mustang in 18 months anyway. So we compromised, instead of a new GT convertable, I got a used V6. So I got me car early and spent less than we'd planned.

And a rag top would be my last choice for an area like that. Ain't no Chevy as they say but Ford did make some nice looking Mustangs.

Yeah, you won't have to worry about a cut top in the garage, just door dings. It's funny because the Mustang I've been looking at is white with a tan top, cloth, and rocker stripes, no racing stripes or Pony package though.

It'll be another fun car for your family too, especially now that it's cooled off a bit you can cruise with the top down. That Ford V6 will last a long time too.

Can't beat a 'Stang. Nice choice GDZHHR. Unique color combo, too. Stands out from the crowd.

Better to sacrifice any Ford to the neighborhood heathens than an HHR.
