This car is just amazing!
With the top down, there is less wind noise and buffeting than in the HHR with just the windows or sunroof open. The DIC is very cool in the available options. It only had one tripometer, but is has a two-line feature. In this setting I can show the odometer, the tripometer and the fuel economy graph. The fuel economy graph is very helpful; it's a bar graph showing you how fuel efficient you are driving.
The gauge cluster display color can be changed to six different color combinations. I'm now using blue numbers and lines with red pointers; looks great!
The Shaker500 stereo sounds great. AM/FM/Sirius 6-disc CD changer. doesn't have steering wheel controls but all of the controls are well within reach. I'm not sure of all the speaker sizes but each door has a sub and another speaker and there are two more in the rear on the sides.
The "Pony" trim package is awesome. The scoop is not functional and neither are the knock-off style center-caps on the wheels, but they look great. Plus I always thought the the grill emblem/driving light combo on this package looked much better than either base or GT models.
Overall, I am in love with this car! Took a late night cruise with the top down last night and I was in heaven!
Please don't tell my HHR; Bob's gonna get jealous.
Only complaints I've got is that there is NO leg room in the back, even just for Caleb in his car seat. And with the passenger seat up enough for Caleb to have a little room, it a little tough getting in and out. Plenty of leg room once you are in, just a little more difficult getting out.

Nice looking car and frankly if family situation allowed would have a Shelby Mustang instead of the HHR SS.
Here's a head up about keeping plenty of wax on Mustang convertibles although it might not pertain to your car. On my last motorcycle trip to Key West in 07 going and coming I met hundreds of Mustang convertibles. Apparently they were the car of choice for most car renters flying into Miami and driving down to Key West.

Nice looking wheels...I love the Stang GT...got to take 1 for a ride about a year ago...by far the funnest car I have ever driven and it was a stick to boot
If I didn't have such a long commute the HHR would be gone in a nano second and I'd be driving a GT....well the winter would suck but I would get a true beater for that
If I had to buy a car that I knew was going to get trashed I'd buy something that ran..that would be the only requirement!! Luckily here in NH those type of neighborhoods are pretty much far and few between..

It looks like I'm gonna have to put this up for sale. Losing my job make it tough to keep this, 2 HHRs, and a small truck. Too many miles on one HHR, never get what the other HHR is worth, truck isn't worth enough..............so this has got to go.
Anyone is the St. Louis area interested, give me a shout.
I have absolutely LOVED this car and really hate having to get rid of it but after paying it off, we should have $8K+ left over to help out until I get a new job.
