I think it has to sit long enough for the vacuum in the system to leak off. Might take a few days if you no vacuum leaks at all.if you have the slighest leak ,it could bleed off sooner. That is just my opinion, nothing to back it up but experience. I have had the problem but not a consistent time lapse .
