I have had no issues with 8.1 since I upgraded. It was a pain in the arse though. They didn't tell you that in order to upgrade you had to have the account set to a Live account, not local... Buncha morons..after 4 days of tech support, finally got it working with a tip from a guy at work.. Nobody at MSFT could figure it out...
