NEW Camaro to make its debut
#62
I like it, Price isn't bad either. Im sure we will see more V6 Models then V8's kinda like the stang, But 25k For a 300HP Sports car isn't that bad.
Hopefully this doesn't bomb like the G8,GTO,Magnum,SRT8.. Well u get my point.

I saw the Camaro at the last two auto shows in D.C., and I really didn't like it. However, I've since warmed up to it. I think the RS option adds some coolness to it, and now that I've seen all of the available colors, and not just the boring silver, it looks like a car I could buy.
I still don't care for the interior. I think they missed the mark on it. It's too futuristic-looking. Gimmie one with a black dash and subdued trim, not flash chrome everywhere. The steering wheel is ugly also. Hopefully the Aftermarket will offer some alternatives.
They're rolling it out at a most inopportune time. Winter's coming; new President; economic uncertainty; crisis after crisis we're having to deal with...It's going to be tough, but as long as they can squeeze decent mpg out of the V6, it shouldn't be too bad for them. I wish them all the best!

The GTO bombed because of its vanilla styling. I get that. Isn't it too early to tell with the G8? I've seen alot of them on the road, and they're surrounded by Magnum's, 300c's, and Chargers. I see SRT models daily. How did those bomb?

I see more magnums on the road than I see people on the sidewalk. Those did not bomb in anyway. Same with 300's. The SRT8 versions of those models are awesome and I see them often.
GTO was to retro and to soft. Granted it has to power to take a lot of stuff out there, it needed more resemblance to the old GTO. I agree that it's to early to tell if the G8 bombed.
I highly doubt the Camaro will bomb when it starts at $23k and that $23k V6 Camaro can take out a V8 Mustang. (Based on HP of 300 for the Mustang GT and 300+ [TBD] for the V6 Camaro)

Build date for the public orders will be in mid Feb. at the Oshawa plant. Hope these ones sell...every plant that built them previously shut down(Quebec plant). The line workers in Oshawa are very concerned with the history of the Camaro build. Seems like a jinx where ever it goes.
