New Camaro SS Convertible
I'm still pretty new here, and didn't see a "Car Talk" area. If this is in the wrong spot, I apologize.
I just took a Friday lunchtime trip over to my Chevy dealer and took a spin in a 2011 SS Convertible with a 6MT and Hurst Shifter. OMG! I am in love.
However, since I only have a 3-year-old HHR SS and no cash, the dealer would not let me swap rides. Anyway, if you have little to do today, "testing" 425 hp is a really fun thing to do! That is all. Enjoy your weekend!

My friend recently bought a 425hp manual 2011 Camaro SS and it is nice and seemed quick when I drove it but I'm looking forward to running him with my tune. I'm over 300whp and his weighs more so it should be a fun race. I've beaten faster cars already so we will see how he holds up. :) A well tuned SS is not to be taken lightly.

celblazer, you may be right. That car did seem heavy, so power-to-weight might favor our SS. But that sound, and with the top down, it was just awesome. But then, if I put headers on the Camaro and gave IT a tune... ...I'd probably end up in jail or in the trees somewhere.
And Officer, that would work for both me AND you, but I don't think the dealer would allow that sort of a cashless transaction. If you can talk him into it, I'm there...
Seriously, though, I probably wouldn't drive a Camaro in the winter up here anyway, so then I'd need another car. If I'm doing that, I'm probably buying a track car instead of a beater, so there goes my budget, not to say what the wife would say... So, the HHR is a better choice, but a convertible on a sunny 79 degree day, with that sweet V8 sound makes you want it. Bad.

I used to love going and test driving new cars. One of the best test drives ever was when the new WRX came out (salesman went with me and didn't think I could launch it correctly...he was wrong). Was one of my favorite sports :)

You're on the list Sam.
I have to admit I really like the Camaro SS convertible, but just like the hardtop version, my head hits the roof even with the seat all the way down. That's why when I decided to get a new muscle car, I ended up with the Challenger R/T...my head doesn't hit the roof, that matters.
