New Gm Recall 6/29/10

I got this notice from GM in the mail today, it doesn't say HHR but that's the only newer GM car that I have , so they either they messed up by sending it to me, or they forgot to include the HHR on the notice. Here it is....

Subject: GM WASHER FLUID SYSTEM COULD POSE FIRE RISK TO VEHICLE.

General Motors Co is recalling 1.5 million 2007-08 model cars, trucks and crossovers to disable a heated washer fluid system module that could pose a fire risk.

Because this feature will be disabled, GM WILL PAY $100 DOLLARS TO THE OWNER OR LESSEE OF EACH VEHICLE.

CALL IMMEDIATELY IF YOU FEEL THAT YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE AFFECTED BY THIS ACTION OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS ACTION.
CALL TODAY 1-800-381-9425

Models included are 2006-09 Buick Lucerne, Cadillac CTS, 2007-2009 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Arcadia, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Saturn Outlook, 2009 Chevrolet Traverse.

This recall does not pertain to the HHR. Only the vehicles at the bottom of your post. The VIN number is on the notice of the vehicle being recalled.

The VIN is usually located on the left top right above the name and address.

Correct, this recall was for vehicles with windshield washer fluid tank heaters (dumb feature anyway). HHRs do not have them.

i think it would be an awesome feature if it worked well. i hate scraping my windows in the freezing cold. i have been looking at these: http://www.alphathermusa.com/. but, it is hard to spend 100$ on one when it is 94 degrees outside.
