Red face New HHR forum user

Just signed in today. I am thinking about replacing a current vehicle and find the HHR pretty cool looking. How do they drive? Is the ride smooth? How many basic models are there? Hoping to here from current HHR owners, David

Welcome; How many basic models are there? The LS is the base then the 1LT then a 2LT. All bodys look are the same, Not counting the SS . Bright chrome, roof rails, side steps, are some of the opt.. Better radio ext.ext. as you add on opts.

Go to chevy.com and build one on there web side to see what you like...

Size: 5.6 KB to the site David!!! You have LS, 1LT, 2LT, and SS. Then you also have the option of a Panel or the Rear Window Delete.

davideforetexas, be sure to test drive at least three or four different HHR's before forming an opinion. First two 2.2's I drove felt sluggy and I almost wrote off 2.2's, then drove this one and it was like "whoa..." had I not drove this one I might have bought a 2.4 one instead, which would have been A-okay to do, just emphasizing that there can be some differences. I truly believe that sometimes a "runner" leaves the production line. The fleet crown vic's our PD buys, there's always a few in each batch we get than run stronger than the others when we get them it seems.

Welcome to the site! Check 'em out and drive 'em. The 2.2L might be good for you, but then again, you might prefer the 2.4L. And if you're really after performance, there's always the SS 2.0L turbo.

Welcome! I love driving mine. Funny hubby was upset that I bought the HHR. He wanted to buy a new truck but it was my bonus $$$ from work and I wanted a vehicle for me. The HHR had all the options and room for my needs plus it's really cool looking so I went for it. The funny part is that everytime I turn around hubby wants to borrow my car instead of driving his current truck...lol.
