It’s kinda my trademark now! Definitely not an original idea.

The brake calipers and the brackets and rear drums will be gloss black, I purchased 750 degree caliper paint just didn’t have time before our trip to Cape Cod. Sweetie’s PE , tests and hospital stay kinda messed up my schedule.
I thought of red, but the spray can looked like tomato red not fire red, to match the grille.

Today we travelled, down to Hyannis, over to Sandwich, then Brewster and around back to our friend Napi in Provincetown, we met him on our first trip in October of 2004. He’s 87 now , still runs his restaurant and still recalls our meeting.

Chrysler Red Ceramic Hi temp paint

I've been using Eastwood's Ceramic engine paint, in a qt can. Good to 650* never any issues on my last S-10 or my Panel.

The brush on lays out like it was sprayed, & the 3 coats make it long time very durable, looks like porcelain. I just reach thru my mags & wipe down my brakes parts..

Yup, sanded with 400 got first , 2 coats plastic bumper grey primer, then 3 coats Chrysler Flame red colour, and 4 coats clear coat.
I allow twenty minutes flash time , between all coats, then three days in the sun to cure , so far it’s held up about two months.
I wouldn’t leave it on for my winter driving, yucky salt and brine, mixed with sand and crud.
