Thumbs up Newbie to HHR!

Hi,
I live over here in the UK and would love to get a HHR as my daily driver, trouble is there are no UK Chevy dealers who import HHRs !
Doh!
We only get the 'chevy-badged' far eastern imports..... and no independant uk based american car importers seem to want to have HHRs, just the regular pickups, fullsize cars & muscle.

Can anyone on the forum help me ?
I can't even get a brochure, or find out prices etc.
A new one will be too expensive as I've got to add import costs, taxes, customs duties etc so it all ends up as £1 per $1, ouch!

I love the HHR and think it's a great alternative to the PT, plenty of these over here now.
I also have a '48 Plymouth Club Coupe DeLuxe as my 'hobby' car, a sort of rolling-resto-mildcustom from the late '40s/ early '50s period.

Been into rods & customs for far too many years now.... and this is a car I want to keep ! Lots done to it and more to come!

Anyway the HHR engine and trans seem to be common to our own homegrown uk domestic chevys, aka Vauxhalls, are there any better ones to go for ?
What about engine mods, superchargers ? Wheel sizes/ spacings, suspension mods?
Anyone put airbags on a HHR ?
I need to find out all this stuff, and maybe you can help me!

That's it for now I've got to get back to my school reports....

Ian,
Hampshire,UK.

I'm sorry I can't really answer any of your questions with knowledge but I would imagine the internet could be a very very good friend of yours to help get what youask done. Just contact a dealer here in the states and fire your questions away, maybe one by the coast might do more exporting than others??????????????

If your looking to export an HHR try contacting a dealer in Miami, FL or a dealer in North Carolina... this would be my guess... also try EBay Motors....

Welcome to the site!! You may also look into a dealer in New York or maybe Canada. Or how about in Germany?
