NICE car

I'd take one, but then again I always liked the SMART too.

The NICE Car Company will debut a new electric car at the British International Motor Show.

MyCar is an Italian-styled, two-seat city car that runs exclusively on electricity.

With a top speed of 40mph and a range of around 40 miles in normal city driving MyCar was styled by Giugiaro of Italdesign.

Running costs vary depending upon when and where you recharge it, but it is possible to run it for as little as two pence per mile.

Other benefits are no congestion charge and no road tax, the MyCar not emitting any CO2 when it's driving.

While there are no tailpipe emissions from the two-seater electric machine, the electricity it uses isn't CO2-free, the MyCar needing a 6-8 hour recharge from mains electricity.

Options for the MyCar include seven colour choices, 15-inch alloy wheels, a glass or removable fibreglass roof, a leather interior and even cooled and heated seats.

Prices for the standard MyCar start at £8,995, that including a two year warranty.

this car seems almost pointless, cause what if you have on of those 50 mile emergances, if they used smaller wheels i belive, im not sure, but i think you could go a little farther

Most electric cars have a range of 40-50 miles. Commuting is the main purpose of these, not traveling. And of course, the small size makes them perfect for Europe where parking is at a premium.

For most of us Americans who love to drive around just for the heck of it, it is kinda pointless. But I would love to be able to fit one of these in the bay of my bus just to have something to drive around when we stop!

Too bad most Americans travel more then 50 miles per day with work and errands that they "must" do. In europe it is great... here, as Songman has said, it is kinda pointless.

I think it is cool looking,
How long before the replacement badges for it come out?
The ones that say "Tonka"?

These are pretty popular here in the OC--I must see at least one every day. One of my friend's had her Bug totaled recently and is now considering one of these...but is balking at the $13K price tag.

Definitely not a car for a Costco run!
One bag of dog food and you're full!
