That's why I thought Stock Car racing was more interesting years ago, when they were actually racing "Stock Cars"!

This is why I prefer open-wheel racing. With IRL and CART, Toyota and Honda may have their names on the sides of the cars but we all know the engines are made by Cosworth. With Formula 1, same thing except you know Ferrari is always going to be the best.

However, one time an Oldsmobile-based engine DID win the F1 world championship in the early '60s for an Australian team, back when they changed to the 3.0 liter formula.

Well, I like to cheer for the Chevy guys, just a preferance. I have owned a couple of great celica's and loved them. We enjoy NASCAR, but those drag racers really have our attention! We go watch the IHRA events that are held about 40 minutes from here. Nothing like nitro fumes to get you going!

Ah, so you're not far from Grand Bend.

Always wanted to see the NHRA cars at Sanair, but the gov't messed that up and they never came back

Not in this lifetime. As I have said before...I follow Tony because of who he is and not what he drives. He had the nickname SMOKE long before he came into NASCAR and I'm sure will still have it after he no longer drives.

In my opinion...all this hoopla about Toyota is much ado about nothing.

It would be nice to have only vehicles or names of vehicles that come stock with a V8 in them . The Trucks all do, the Impala and Avenger do. but the Fusion and Camry don't.
