Is there anyone here old enough to remember back in the 1950's when they had a veiwer mounted on the dash so you could see traffic light without having to look up to see when the light changed?
Would not mind having one on the HHR so I would not have to strain my old neck to see them now! I don't remember what they actually called them, so I could do a search on them.

Yes, there is still the old style one, & a newer style one called "light-n-Sight"

Actually ...sadly no ...BUT considering I drive one eight hours a day I was already wondering if maybe a convex mirror might work ... Also it depends on the stopping line / light configuration I have started to identify problem intersections and just do not pull up as much

I like this idea better...... nice old school mod. I'm going to have to get one even though traffic lights aren't that big a problem for me..... I already got used to stopping a little further back and I'm only 5'7" BUT! I like this addition.

Funny thing is, some traffic lights I can see by leaning back and looking through the sunroof.Just depends on how the traffic engineers hung them.

If you do a search for traffic light viewer several sights will come up. I have had one on mine for a couple of years. I centered it on the flat part of the dash in front of the interment hump. I made a chevy emblem out of 1/4 aluminum and used 3M auto tape to mount it. If I knew how to post a picture I would I am a computer idiot and am lucky I could figure out how to post messages.
