Exclamation PA Turnpike covered with 40 miles worth of driveway sealant!

Here's a story that actually happened last night, but I waited for an updated news segment before posting the link below.

It seems that a tanker carrying liquid driveway tar leaked its load out over 40 miles of the PA Turnpike near Pittsburgh. An estimated 150 cars and trucks were damaged and disabled by the gooey mess, Turnpike officials resorted to using snowplows in an attempt to scrape the goop off the road.

Click on the link below for the story and embedded video from KDKA TV, one warning though, if the sight of gooey vehicles upsets you..don't look.

Yeah, I'm afraid some if not most of the damaged vehicles might be total losses, getting that stuff off of them and out of the under body areas is next to impossible. As it is the wheels and tires are ruined, its going to be an expensive bill for someone's insurance carrier.

Thats what I was thinking too! That stuff is not going to come off easy and what remains will become gooey every summer.

Considering the condition of most PA roads this can only help..... Are you sure they didn't do this on purpose?
