yep! i got a parking ticket outside my own house...thats awesome! $30. supposedly you cant park on any city street in Brampton (canada) for more that 3 hours...i have been living in this city my whole life, and i park in front of my house all the time and its not like its a small street..parked this morning from 9am till about 1/1:30pm..first time getting a parking ticket outside my own home.. f**king ridiculous..local city councilor will be hearing about this
so moral of story is, beware of parking in front of your own house, this may happen to you too

 

Don't know about the Canadian PO's, but the U.S. guys don't usually give parking tickets unless it's VERY flagrant OR from a complaint.

So, could you have pissed off one of the neighbors?

 

That's what I was thinking. I had it happen to me. In Dallas it's 24 hours. I saw an officer mark my tire and write something down. I went out and asked what was up and he said he would be back in 24 hours to see if I had moved the vehicle. It was a neighbor who didn't like me parking in front of my OWN house. He wanted his worshippers to be able to park there on Friday nights. No law about that in Dallas.

 

no i havent pissed anyone off..what pisses me off is that other people are constantly parking on the street also around me and no problem for years..now today i get a ticket? not blocking driveways or sidewalks or anything
this is a mystery
