Photographed a house fire last night 56k no no
I was driving past and I saw flames shooting out of this house probably 20 feet or so. I was not far from my house so I literally raced home and got my camera and raced back. Ended up taking over 150 photos. It wasn't the best because I didn't have my tripod so most of them are blurry, but I was the only photographer there so it doesn't matter to much. I contacted my local news station and they had not even heard of the fire so they were quit surprised to learn one happened and that someone got photos and wanted to share them. I am in the process of uploaded and emailing them to the station.
Looks like it left up to four families homeless, I talked with a guy from one of the houses and he was understanding shaken up, everyone seemed to be okay physically. I was personally engulfed in large clouds of smoke several times. I ran out of them not breathing. I am okay. It was quite an ordeal and it will be smoldering and smoking long into the early morning house. It seemed to be complicated by what neighbors say was "tweekers" and their drugs.
Note - If the photos are a little large please allow it this once. I have e-mailed them to a News Station and if I resize them the links I sent to the News will be destroyed and they will not be able to use them.

Those are some pretty good pics.. just hate to be the bearer of bad news to a point-- if that house did contain possible "tweekers" and possible meth labs-- that smoke you inhaled was not good for you at all. We started having some major trainings on that around here.. what to look for and know when to run and let it burn-- sometimes just better to stand back and let it go then risk your life and others--just protect and save neighboring properties. I have seen my share of bad fires, wrecks over past 20 years on the fire dept here.. Things are getting alot tougher out there these days. Just watch out for yourself and be mindful if you suspect anything.
