Talked to a guy from Ft Collins on my St Louis flight last week and he said something like if the Rocks make it to the WS that one of the games may fall on the same night that the Broncos are on Monday Night football....if that happens you might as well blow up that section of 25....traffic is bad enough iirc on that stretch of highway...cannot imagine120,000 people trying to to go to both games that night

After last night's crushing blow delivered to the Tribe, what are y'all thinkin' of them Sox now???? Dice K finally earned his pay, Pedroia should be MLB Rookie of the Year, Francona is the coach, and Manny is still being Manny. Oh, and don't forget Coco's game ending catch in the corner.

Now that's baseball! :twothumbs

Looking forward to a Rocky Mountain High............just a figment of speech

Sure hope the Sox can see the baseball in the snow Seriously it should be a great series. Both teams are red hot and playing great baseball. It's no secret I'm rooting for the Rockies, and have been before post season started. If the long layoff doesn't affect the timing of the Rockies hitters it should be a close series. Boston will be tough to beat, but I think the Rockies are up to the task.

Does anyone seriously think the Red Sox won't win in 4? 5 at the most? 6 would be a travesty and winning in 7 would be an outright disgrace. The NL is like a glorified Triple-A.

With all due respect to the fine job the Rockies did in the NL playoffs against like competition, if the Red Sox lose the World Series heads should roll at Fenway. They have wayyyyyyyyyy too much talent to blow it this time around.

You have GOT to be kidding me

This is a perfect example of why I hate the Yankees/Red Sox, and the American League. The arrogance is mind blowing.

I think you're a bit out of line, Mizzou. "Hate" and "arrogance"? I mean no disrespect to fans of the Rockies and the NL in general. In fact, i applaud the Rockies for a memorable end of the seaason and playoffs and have said so. They are truly the Champs of the NL. That being said, the level of play is clearly different between the two leagues right now. Right now, the AL is superior. They haven't always been, but right now they are...and I would hope I would have the right to articulate my opinion.

Let's keep this in perspective, shall we? Baseball is a GAME. Lighten up.

You say you have no disrespect for the NL or the Rockies, but at the same time say they will be swept, or perhaps may be lucky enough to win one game That in itself is disrespectful and arrogant. You are correct that this is just a game, and I'm not as worked up about this as it may have sounded. It's tough to gauge emotion in a message board post. I just find it amazing that the Rockies have NOT LOST A GAME in post season, yet fans and "experts" on ESPN give the Rockies no chance to win. I just don't understand it. But then again these are the same people who said the Cardinals last season couldn't beat the Mets. Not only did they beat the Mets, they went on to beat the Detroit Tigers in 5 games. Also I don't agree that the American League is head and shoulders above the National. The tide is turning. I appoligize if I came off as angry. I'm not. And of course you have the right to have any opinion you want, just as I have the right to defend mine.

Well...well...let's let the stats speak for themselves.

June 12th Boston Red Sox 2 - Colorado Rockies 1
June 13th Boston Red Sox 2 - Colorado Rockies 12
June 14th Boston Red Sox 1 - Colorado Rockies 7

Total Boston Red Sox 5 - Colorado Rockies 20

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Sweep the Rockies...I don't think so.
