Found this really interesting. Didn't know anything about this historical fact.

You members in the Toronto or Buffalo area, did you know anything about this???

We have three confirmed U-boat wrecks off the Outer Banks in Torpedo Junction. The U-85, U-352, and the U-701.

Of course they, and the 397 Naval & Merchant Marine vessels sunk between 1941 & 1945 are considered War Graves and are strictly off limits to divers.

If anyone is ever in Chicago the tour of U-505 (Museum of Science and Industry) is definitely worth a look.Very cool.

Disregard the entire story. As donbrew suggested, it is a hoax. The publication that has the article is known for fictitious stories that embellishes articles to generate debates.......as discovered by doing a little research on Google, Snopes, Fact or Fiction.
