Remembering Those That Gave All
I know the time has passed already, but I was just wondering if anyone remembered what happened 25 years ago at 11:38 am on Janurary the 28th. And if you did remember, did you observe a moment of silence and/or lower your flags to half staff - I know I did.

I remember it very well, it was being shown live at the high school auditorium, for some it was their first taste of tragedy. Every year I say a silent prayer for the crew in memory of the day they slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God. Godspeed Challenger and all who sail on her.

I was a junior in High School when it happened. We were also watching it live in every classroom in the school. After it happened the principal and assistant principal had everyone meet in the auditorium for a prayer for the crew of the challenger.

You guys know what happened 8 years ago tomorrow? The Columbia Space shuttle disaster happened on February 1st, 2003. I remember Columbia much better, because I was around when it happened.
I was not around when the Challenger disaster happened, but it happened on January 28, which is my mom's birthday, so that is how I remember it. Both of them were very terrible tragedies indeed.
