Question Revengeful Mom Sells Sons Car

Here's an interesting one. Was in our "dailey fish rap" here. Had to search to find it.

I heard that on the radio this morning. Kinda makes me happy that there's a few parents out there that still have a spine and don't just tell little Jimmy that they're disapointed... that this type of behaviour is not acceptable... and they should have a timeout and think about what they did.

It takes stones to raise a kid these days...

Good choice by mom. Seeing as you can't take them out behind the woodshed anymore like when I was a kid.

As a parent of 6 kids (oldest 15yrs old), I applaud what this mother is doing. Too much feel-good, (fake) self-esteem-building parenting today. The choices this mother faced was to take a hard line and do what she did, or at some point getting that dreaded phone call at night from the police saying "there's been an accident...".

At some point SOMEONE will discipline your kids. Either you can do it based on love for your kids, or the system will eventually do it ,and the system is harsh and won't be doing it out of love.

That was the first thing I thought. He's 19 and living at home. If he's in college then thats cool but if not.

Man 2 weeks after I got out of highschool I was gone! Joined the Air Force and was out seein the world.
