Ah, the good old days, how many people here have ever driven a Model T? Its an interesting experience the first time you do, kinda like, "OK just forget everything about driving except for the steering wheel, because this is weird!".

Very cool find.

That $20-$25 would be only $260-$325 labor charge to overhaul BOTH the engine and tranny. WOW what a deal.

The fenders would be $45-$65. Again wow what a deal.

These are using this calculator and it is from 2011 but I would hope it is close enough lol.

Well according to the U.S. Census of 1930, Bottineau North Dakota had a population of 1,322 people, so I'm pretty sure that mailer found Mr. Bjorngaard without any problem.

Back in those days the "Service" in "Postal Service" meant something.

** P.S. Bottineau is also the home of "Tommy Turtle" the worlds largest turtle erected in 1978 at the entrance to the winter fun park.

Bringing service costs into the modern age......

In 1972 I owned a 1965 Dodge Dart with a 225 cu in Slant Six.
I decided to get the engine rebuilt at a local gas station/ garage.
Total cost, out the door - $750. But then again, the whole car cost me only $650 when I bought it a few months earlier.
