Sons of Guns cameo by Silver HHR

Sitting here watching Sons of Guns on Discovery and low and behold one of the apprentices (Glen Flemming) hops in his ride... a Silver HHR.

You know I hadda see if I could catch it on the website.... there she was on one of the video clips.

Cheers
Doc

Fuzzed out emblems/logos are due to licensing agreements and trademark protection.

If the network or production company doesn't have written permission from Chevrolet to show the "Bow Tie", they can be found in violation of a half dozen different infringement restrictions.

That's why you see things "fuzzed" out on TV, either the show's producers haven't received "Clearance" to show the obscured item/logo/emblem, or they don't want to use the resources and time necessary to procure the aforementioned "Clearance".

Thus spake the resident lawyer.

Sooo......I guess people and companies got concerned with 'clearance' and copyright infringement about the time pixelation got invented? What did everybody do before this? My guess is that in most cases they didn't worry about it.

Or they invented some interesting ways around it like TV/Film only brand names like Alamo Beer, Buzz Beer, Panther Pilsner Beer(Three Stooges short in 1935), Shotz Beer, Victory Gin, Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster, E-Z Doze It Sleeping Pills, Ramjet Proton Energy Pills, etc.
